Animal Care Facility Officer

Our client is a local Council South of the River, and currently require the services of 2 Animal Care Facility Officers 

1 role is Monday to Friday - 930am - 4pm starting asap through 6th September 2019

1 role is Saturdays and Sundays - 930am-4pm starting 24th August through to late September 2019

• The care and cleaning of dogs, cats and other animals as required
• General cleaning and upkeep of the facility
• Collecting monies from the public and releasing animals as required
• Registering both dogs and cats
• Ordering consumables
• Liaising with vets and animal rescue organisations
• Assisting with listing animals on the website

You will need the below to be considered for this role;

• Previous experience in animal handling in a similar role
• Well-developed customer service skills and conflict resolution skills
• Previous experience in a public relations / customer service role
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and with limited supervision
• C Class Driver’s Licence and own transport

You will be required to undertake pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement of this role.
