Our client is a local Council South of the River, and currently require the services of 2 Animal Care Facility Officers 1 role is Monday to Friday - 930am - 4pm starting asap through 6th September 20191 role is Saturdays and Sundays - 930am-4pm starting 24th August through to late September 2019The care and cleaning of dogs, cats and other animals as requiredGeneral cleaning and upkeep of the facilityCollecting monies from the public and releasing animals as requiredRegistering both dogs and catsOrdering consumablesLiaising with vets and animal rescue organisationsAssisting with listing animals on the websiteYou will need the below to be considered for this role;Previous experience in animal handling in a similar roleWell-developed customer service skills and conflict resolution skillsPrevious experience in a public relations / customer service roleEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and with limited supervisionC Class Driver’s Licence and own transportYou will be required to undertake pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement of this role.   • The care and cleaning of dogs, cats and other animals as required
  • General cleaning and upkeep of the facility
  • Collecting monies from the public and releasing animals as required
  • Registering both dogs and cats
  • Ordering consumables
  • Liaising with vets and animal rescue organisations
  • Assisting with listing animals on the website

You will need the below to be considered for this role;

  • Previous experience in animal handling in a similar role
  • Well-developed customer service skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Previous experience in a public relations / customer service role
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with limited supervision
  • C Class Driver’s Licence and own transport
