FACTORY HAND

Our client located in the Southern suburbs requires a Factory Hand for their cabinet making division.  This role will be responsible for providing the cabinet maker with machined timber parts on time.Monday - Friday - 7am-3.30pm MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Factory HandHandling of incoming board and materials. Arrange incoming materials in a tidy manner in line with company procedures.All aspects of timber machining, including:Cutting of timber using panel saw.Edge-banding.Trainee CNC operation.Interpret detailed cutting lists and organise work-flow in the most efficient manner.Demonstrate strong understanding of nesting and maximising sheet usage.Cleaning of timber components after edge-banding.Assist cabinet maker with assembly where required.Complete repetitive assembly tasks for various componentry as required.Responsible for overall cleaning of production work area on a daily basis.Liaise with Operations Manager regarding maintenance requirements.Warehouse Assist with unloading of containers. Assist Warehouse Co-coordinator with cleaning tasks as required. Responsible for packaging of completed joinery items from cabinet making   division. Complete assembly tasks as required.Qualifications Forklift License.Completion of Year 12 Education.C class LicenseEWP Ticket (highly desirable)Experience2+ years’ experience in a cabinet making or joinery facility. Previous experience operating panel-saw and edge-banding equipment.Skills & competencies Physically capable: Willingness to work in at times physically intense roles, and carry out tasks to the highest standard.   Attention to detail: Ensure components are machined to the highest accuracy standard, in a manner that maximizes sheet utilization.  Detailed Thinker: Develop work flow methods and interpret detailed cutting lists to provide the most efficient outcome.Initiative: Comes up with intelligent solutions in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The successful applicant will be required to pass a D&A Screen and pre employment physical Australia - WA Perth Fremantle & Southern Suburbs

Qualifications

  • Forklift License.
  • Completion of Year 12 Education.
  • C class License
  • EWP Ticket (highly desirable)

Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in a cabinet making or joinery facility. 
  • Previous experience operating panel-saw and edge-banding equipment.
