Our client is a local council and they currently require the services of a temp Health and Safety Officer to join their team, based in Tom Price.

The role requires travel between the towns of Paraburdoo, Onslow and Tom Price on a regular basis.

This role will be integral in the development and implementation of OSH systems and processes and you will be experienced in developing, reviewing and monitoring OSH systems and processes.

To be considered for this role you will have;

• Significant experience in health, safety and compliance at a senior level
• Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop successful business partner relationship and drive engagement
  Well-developed time management and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret legislation
• Well-developed computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Proven leadership, coaching & mentoring skills with experience in leading, motivating and developing staff to positively influence and develop a positive safety culture
• Well-developed knowledge of the principles of Equal Opportunity, Diversity and Occupational Health, and Safety

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement of the role.
