Our client is a local Council North of the River, and they currently require the services of an experienced Human Resources Project Officer to join their team ASAP until 29th November 2019, assisting with current HR workload and projects includingDuties and projects including:Assisting with finalisation of IWA and implementation, workplace investigationsUpdating all HR Policies, Procedures and formsReview of recruitment process and e-recruitment systemReview and update of employment contractsReview of current employment practices, particularly relating to casual employeesTo be considered for the HR Project Officer role you will have;Previous experience in Human Resources roleCertificate / Qualification in Human Resources preferredAn industrial relations background with the ability to review, update and create policies and proceduresA good understanding of relevant legislation and be able to interpret this accordingly to ensure compliance and best practiceSufficient knowledge and experience to be able to operate autonomously while taking a hands on approach and working collaboratively with the wider HR team and other stakeholdersExperience in operating in a unionised environment with agreements in placeHands-on experience in the delivery of projects and outcomes within deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skillsAbility to act in a professional customer focused manner maintaining confidentialityAbility to prioritise work load and excellent time management skillsSuccessful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement of the role. Duties and projects including:

  • Assisting with finalisation of IWA and implementation, workplace investigations
  • Updating all HR Policies, Procedures and forms
  • Review of recruitment process and e-recruitment system
  • Review and update of employment contracts
  • Review of current employment practices, particularly relating to casual employees

To be considered for the HR Project Officer role you will have;

  • Previous experience in Human Resources role
  • Certificate / Qualification in Human Resources preferred
  • An industrial relations background with the ability to review, update and create policies and procedures
  • A good understanding of relevant legislation and be able to interpret this accordingly to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Sufficient knowledge and experience to be able to operate autonomously while taking a hands on approach and working collaboratively with the wider HR team and other stakeholders
  • Experience in operating in a unionised environment with agreements in place
  • Hands-on experience in the delivery of projects and outcomes within deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act in a professional customer focused manner maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritise work load and excellent time management skills
