Maintenance Fitter

Our client, who was first established in 1909 in New Zealand, has expanded and acquired many businesses over the years to build a group of companies within property development and infrastructure construction employing over 14,900+ people in New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific.Within one arm of their business, being in the insulation space based in Keysborough, they have a current need for an experienced maintenance fitter to join their team in a temporary to permanent capacity, starting immediately. This role will involve but not be limited to task listed below:Repair and maintain all machinery/equipmentTrouble shoot and setting of all machineryManufacture jigs, fixtures, tools and accessories to aid productionEnsure all machinery being maintained is tagged and locked out according to safety protocolSet out and interpret engineering drawingsAs the successful candidate you will possess the following experience:Maintenace experienceMIC and preferably ARC welding experienceStrong mechanical aptitude with pneumatics and hydraulicsExperience in preventive, breakdown and corrective repairAbility to fault find in a timely mannerHour are Monday to Friday - 7.30 to 4pm with some flexibility neededif you fit all of the above and are seeking your next career move apply now. This role will involve but not be limited to task listed below:

  • Repair and maintain all machinery/equipment
  • Trouble shoot and setting of all machinery
  • Manufacture jigs, fixtures, tools and accessories to aid production
  • Ensure all machinery being maintained is tagged and locked out according to safety protocol
  • Set out and interpret engineering drawings

As the successful candidate you will possess the following experience:

  • Maintenace experience
  • MIC and preferably ARC welding experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Experience in preventive, breakdown and corrective repair
  • Ability to fault find in a timely manner

Hour are Monday to Friday - 7.30 to 4pm with some flexibility needed
