Natural Areas - Conversation / Landcare Worker - Local Council
Our Client is a local council located North of the River and they currently require a temporary full time Natural Areas Conservation / Landcare Worker.
To be successful in this role you will require;
- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science or similar qualification (or equivalent demonstration field experience in a similar role)
- Recent experience working with native plants, invasive weeds and the management of bushland, wetland and coastal rehabilitation areas
- Good knowledge of native species, pests, weeds and exotic plants
- Experience with manual and chemical weed control
- Experience in vegetation mapping using maps and GPS
- Experience in operating mowing equipment, hand tools and plant equipment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and also work unsupervised
- Basic traffic management certificate preferred
- Chainsaw operation certificate preferred
- Current C Class drivers licence and own transport
- Current minimum MR Class drivers licence preferred
- Current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
