Natural Areas - Conversation / Landcare Worker - Local Council

Our Client is a local council located North of the River and they currently require a temporary full time Natural Areas Conservation / Landcare Worker.

To be successful in this role you will require;

• Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science or similar qualification (or equivalent demonstration field experience in a similar role)
• Recent experience working with native plants, invasive weeds and the management of bushland, wetland and coastal rehabilitation areas
• Good knowledge of native species, pests, weeds and exotic plants
• Experience with manual and chemical weed control
• Experience in vegetation mapping using maps and GPS
• Experience in operating mowing equipment, hand tools and plant equipment
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and also work unsupervised
• Basic traffic management certificate preferred
• Chainsaw operation certificate preferred
• Current C Class drivers licence and own transport
• Current minimum MR Class drivers licence preferred
• Current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
