Natural Areas – Conversation / Landcare Worker – Local Council

Our Client is a local council located North of the River and they currently require a temporary full time Natural Areas Conservation / Landcare Worker.To be successful in this role you will require;Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science or similar qualification (or equivalent demonstration field experience in a similar role)Recent experience working with native plants, invasive weeds and the management of bushland, wetland and coastal rehabilitation areasGood knowledge of native species, pests, weeds and exotic plantsExperience with manual and chemical weed controlExperience in vegetation mapping using maps and GPSExperience in operating mowing equipment, hand tools and plant equipmentExcellent time management and organisational skillsExcellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well as part of a team and also work unsupervisedBasic traffic management certificate preferredChainsaw operation certificate preferredCurrent C Class drivers licence and own transportCurrent minimum MR Class drivers licence preferredCurrent National Police Clearance (within 3 months)All applicants must be able to pass pre employment medical including instant drug and alcohol testing on the day of interview with us.  Australia - WA Perth CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs
