Pallet Controller

We currently have an opportunity for someone to join our clients team as Pallet Controller based in Laverton North with flexibility to travel when required to four other sites within Melbourne metropolitan area.  This role involves the monitoring and processing of pallets ensuring that the clients inventory is managed effectively and efficiently.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the pallet control Melbourne metro you will be responsible for enforcing pallet control, daily control of movement, working with trading partners and more. You will need the energy to work with all the sections within our business to ensure continuous improvement.The successful candidate should be a team player with a great attitude and great analytical skills who is able to operate under pressure whilst adhering to tight deadlines and who strives to achieve targets.Key tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Daily reconciliation of all pallet movements across all sitesManaging the associated pallet systems: incoming and outgoing site correspondence with Chep and LoscamInvestigate and resolve pallet discrepancies, increasing pallet accurateness and reducing costStocktake and audit in addition to reconciling weekly supplier invoicesLiaising with drivers, external customers, regional agents and interstate branches for pallet transfersCo-ordination of hire pallets between transport and warehouse operationsEnsure pallet control procedures and policies are adhered to within the depotSKILLS & EXPERIENCEExperience working with Chep and Loscam palletsHigh level communication and interpersonal skills including an excellent phone mannerHigh level of accuracy and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent administrative and organisational skillsIntermediate computer skillsExcellent record keeping and filing skillsAn Outgoing "can-do" attitudeSuccessful applicants will ideally have experience in pallet controlling, a solid grounding within a high volume distribution environment, be self-motivated, goal oriented, reliable and willing to play their part in the successful operation of a large and growing business. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with Chep and Loscam pallets
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills including an excellent phone manner
  • High level of accuracy and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent record keeping and filing skills
  • An Outgoing "can-do" attitude
