Our client is nearing its first decade in business and continues to go from strength to strength and becoming an innovative industry leader. As an information and knowledge based logistics solutions provider they collaborate with freight owners and freight carriers, targeting inherent structural inefficiencies in the freight transport market to bring sustainable freight efficiencies owners and carriers cannot bring by acting on their own.
With growth comes opportunity, expanding their team and seeking an experienced Transport Scheduler Optimizer into the business to join their team.
The role itself will involve but not be limited to:
- managing day to day transport service demands
- provide accurate and timely advice & information to customer
- be responsible for transport order receipt, allocation and execution of PODs
- use of TMS to schedule, load build, capacity and route prior to allocating to carrier
- proactively manage transport order allocation, acceptance and execution with transport carrier
We are seeking someone with the below:
- ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
- a high level of analytical skills and judgment
- able to provide timely and high quality customer service
- can develop and maintain good relationships with customer operational staff, carriers and internal staff
- will practice safe work methods and participate in health & safety training
- carry out safety and compliance checks
- exposure to forestry industry highly advantageous
