Labourforce has a client based in Hallam that is looking for an experienced 2IC/Supervisor or Team Leader looking to make the next step. These are fulltime positions that are available to start ASAP after a successful recruitment process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years+ supervisory experience in medium/large multi-site distribution and/or manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and warehousing technology
- Strong understanding of transport and logistics processes
- Strong and robust leadership and management skills
- Process driven and logical thinker with the ability to think outside the box
- Ability to lead, drive and manage a diverse team
- Initiative to construct new processes in addition to implementation/enhancement of existing process structure
Responsibilities:
- Supervise distribution warehouse and logistics activities and performance of the warehouse operations
- Manage small production/manufacturing department - reporting to Operations manager
- Manage customer expectations and customer service to facilitate customer satisfaction
- Ensure smooth operational functioning of the warehouse and compliance with all systems, policies and procedures
- Engaging and developing the warehouse team whilst managing and monitoring staff progress, performance and culture
- Review and allocate space requirements, equipment layout and action planning
- Manage inventory tracking to reflect receiving deliveries, stock levels and intra-site stock transfer
- Key stake holder in rolling out and implementing an incoming new ERP system
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
