CO ORDINATOR FACILITIES – OPERATIONS – LOCAL COUNCIL

We are currently looking for a Coordinator Facilities – Operations on a temporary full-time basis working  Seventy Six (76) hours a fortnight Monday to Friday.  This temporary assignment is to cover a vacant position based at the Belmont Civic Centre.The tenure is to commence ASAP up to February 2022. This is a diverse role working closely with the Manager Facilities and Property to oversee the work activities of consultants and contractors and involves end-to-end project management across a range of different projects.  That involves collaboration with various stakeholders internally and externally to ensure standards are met in relation to the City’s building activities that require making timely and effective decisions.The successful candidate needs to be able to hit the ground running and must meet the essential requirements with a strong emphasis on the following:-Must have previous relevant experience working within the Facility and Building Management Industry,  preferable within Local Government, Have well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills,Strong written and oral communication skills, covering a wide range of people and groupsHave the ability to supervise all day to day maintenance,  and operational activities.Possession of, or significant progression towards an appropriate qualification in Building Services and/or Construction or comparable field and/or equivalent relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant Acts and Regulations and in particular, the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards and other relevant building policies and procedures.Well developed organisational and administrative skills with proven ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects and coordinate conflicting priorities to meet strict deadlines and achieve organisational objectives and complete tasks with a high level of accuracy.Possession of or ability to acquire, a current motor vehicle driver’s licence. Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months).The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre employment physical and drug and alcohol screen Australia - WA Perth Eastern Suburbs
