Our client is a local council North of the River, and they are currently looking for a reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic for a short term assignment.Position Objectives;You will be carrying out repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles, LR/MR/HR vehicles and mobile plant equipmentAdhere to safety requirements and procedures as set out in policiesAssist with identification and ordering of partsCommitment to providing high level of internal and external customer serviceMaintain a clean and serviceable workshopLiaise with Supervisor Fleet Workshop on operational and administrative duties relating to the workshop and the City’s fleetTo be considered you must have;Trade certificate / qualification is essential for sightingRecent hands on experience and strong mechanical aptitudeExperience working in a major service workshop servicing heavy equipmentCurrent minimum HR Class drivers licence essentialAll tools that you use to complete the inherent duties of the position which must be fit for purpose and meet manufacturers specificationsWhite card / blue cardDesirable;Forklift TicketGantry CraneCandidates must be able to pass Pre Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol, which is conducted by our onsite nurse, on the day of the interview with us.  Australia - WA Perth CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs

Position Objectives;

  • You will be carrying out repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles, LR/MR/HR vehicles and mobile plant equipment
  • Adhere to safety requirements and procedures as set out in policies
  • Assist with identification and ordering of parts
  • Commitment to providing high level of internal and external customer service
  • Maintain a clean and serviceable workshop
  • Liaise with Supervisor Fleet Workshop on operational and administrative duties relating to the workshop and the City’s fleet

To be considered you must have;

  • Trade certificate / qualification is essential for sighting
  • Recent hands on experience and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience working in a major service workshop servicing heavy equipment
  • Current minimum HR Class drivers licence essential
  • All tools that you use to complete the inherent duties of the position which must be fit for purpose and meet manufacturers specifications
  • White card / blue card

Desirable;

  • Forklift Ticket
  • Gantry Crane
