In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing maintenance activities for our heavy industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Position Brief below Permanent Full time position Mon - Fri  5AM - 3:30PM  & Saturday 5am - 11am Hourly rate  $45 -$50 Per hour (pending experience) + Overtime Company Car + Fuel Card + Company phone ASAP start for Successful applicants self-managed - reporting to Yard Manager Must be able to work Saturdays if you are searching for a position with long hours and overtime, look no further and APPLY NOW !!!!. Duties: Responsible for prompt action and close out of safety issues affecting the workplace; test, inspect and diagnose plant and equipment faults; perform planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across area; install and repair equipment associated with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; work towards improving equipment reliability and field service work.Skills and Abilities Required For this position :Independently conducting routine maintenance checks and inspections on heavy industrial machinery and equipment.Proven experience in managing maintenance related work within the trade discipline.Sound understanding of safe working practices and their application in a maintenance service work environment.Analytical and problem solving skills, the capacity to prioritize work and maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines and KPI'sFamiliarization of Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and legislation pertaining to property maintenance / facilities management industry.Demonstrated capacity to understand and interpret operating specifications, plans and plant and equipment servicing standards.Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have a help out when required attitude.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult, problem solve and dispute resolution.Excellent time management skills and possess the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in deadline driven, fast paced environment. To be considered for this role, applicants will possess the following: Australian Recognised Trade Qualifications as a Fitter (mechanical) requiredPrevious experience working on heavy mobile and fixed plant maintenance including loaders, excavators, crushers, Screens, Shredders ,mills and conveyor systems.Mining experience desirable but not essentialexperience with MIG ,& STICK weldingExperience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics a MUSTCurrent Forklift License, Elevated Work Platform Ticket would be an advantage but not essentialAble to read technical drawingsExperience with moving ,replacing and fitting MotorsHave the ability to work overtime and weekendsBe dedicated to safe working practicesBe able to commence ASAP!!!!Have own reliable transportationHave all required PPE safety equipmentAbility to work in a team environment Please note ONLY short listed Applicants will be contacted  Applicants MUST be willing to undergo a Physical assessment including a Drug & Alcohol test at time of registration.
